Leverage is the process of employing borrowed funds from a broker to increase one’s trading exposure in the FX markets. By using leverage, traders can place large bets in a currency pair, beyond their initial deposits, amplifying both profits and losses. Depending on the broker and the regulators, leverage can vary from 2:1- 2000:1 and more.
